Residents of Powai are trembling in anticipation of the most significant event of the millennium. Central Avenue and High Street announced they are getting married in June next year.
The two highly popular streets have been dating for quite some time now, and many anticipated this announcement. Now the locals pray the coronavirus won’t interfere with the most significant wedding since Harry and Sally’s marriage ceremony.
The young lovers met for the first time in the Butter Kitchen, they recall. “It was love at first sight. I was coming from my father’s, and he just crossed my path. It all happened so fast. Everything was spinning”, Central Avenue, remembers fondly. She claims that even now, everything goes in circles when they meet.
“I was just going down to my father (Orchard Avenue) when suddenly I saw her. We tried to go past each other, but we always went in the same direction. It was like a dance. Finally, I just took her hand, and we made a circle,” High street explained.
Fortunately for the young street, his father, Orchard Avenue, was a good friend of Central’s old man – Ridge road. The two were very happy that their children are going out together. Two years after they first met, High Street asked Central Avenue’s hand in marriage, and Ridge road was glad to give his blessing.
Thrilled to learn about this union was Central’s younger brother and High Street’s friend Cliff Avenue. He and the future groom both have an interest in Hiranandani Gardens and are business partners there.
“High Street is really an outstanding street. I think of him more like a boulevard. He is so important. Some of the world’s most famous brands are willing to invest in him, which says a lot,” said Cliff Avenue about his future brother-in-law. “Well, he’s more like an inner-city highway if we consider how busy he is,” adds Cliff’s sister and future bride Central Avenue.
Although not official, the best man will be Forest Street, who has connections to the bride and has close ties to the groom via South Avenue (High’s mother).
The wedding ceremony and party will be held at the Crisil House, a place where the young lovers met many times. The venue is already reserved and will most probably be decorated by local florists.
The public is absolutely astounded by the news, and many locals are even reserving the date to watch the grand ceremony live on TV. Although still not confirmed, Central Avenue will come down from her mother’s house (Adi Shankaracharya Marg) near Powai Lake. Locals have even said they will decorate the streets so that the young bride’s holiday can be as colorful and beautiful as she is.
The wedding will be attended by world-famous roads, streets, and avenues such as Champs-Élysées, which will provide the wedding dress and bridesmaids’ dresses. The ever curvy Lombard Street from San Francisco will also attend; although its drinking problems may cause difficulties. Abbey Road will provide the music, and Broadway Avenue will produce the live show program. Among the other guests will be the Hollywood walk of fame, Tokyo’s Ginza, and Berlin’s Unter den linden. Around 7.4 Billion people are expected to watch the ceremony live on TV or live-streaming services.
